PORTSIDE were kids when I first met them. we tracked their first demo when I just started recording again in late 2011. We tracked that demo with two Shure dynamics and a crappy laptop. They came back and did a few more songs with a better set up and had doubled down on their sound. Posi B used to make my roommate and myself really good vegan food and bring our dog treats. Portside was apart of that 2012 wave of hardcore in Stockton with the likes of Get Bent, noXcrutch, 5150, etc.
